Many cities are considering upgrades and/or replacement of their water infrastructure as it continues to age and fail. Municipal leadership is concerned about the reliability of its water system every day. For example, a transmission main, the large water pipe which is used to extend and convey water between a water system’s supply/storage facilities and distribution mains, is severely corroded.
