DEC 6, 2011: Eric Hansen recently attained certification from the American Public Works Association (APWA) as a Certified Stormwater Manager (CSM). According to information on the APWA web site, he is the first stormwater expert in Illinois identified with this distinction, and among only sixty-one listed as currently practicing in North America.
“This certification not only reflects Eric’s experience and expertise in the field of stormwater management, but it also lets our clients know that CMT provides leadership in this important project area. The APWA is a respected organization in our industry and earning CSM status is a significant achievement,” said Brian Whiston, PE, CMT’s CEO.
The CSM designation identifies Hansen as an expert who coordinates and implements stormwater management programs for city, county, state, provincial, and federal agencies. The certification is earned through an application and examination process that tests an applicant’s knowledge and practice in the field.
