CMT’s Alaina Beaird has been appointed an MBA Program Dean’s Fellow at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Gies College of Business for the 2019/20 Academic Year. As one of 12 Dean’s Fellows, she will provide counsel to the MBA Administration and assume MBA leadership positions. These include regularly meeting with other Fellows and serving on the Student Experience Committee, which will help plan meaningful student activities and maintain a rigorous curriculum for the coming year.
Beaird, who joined CMT as a Marketing Coordinator in 2017, is a member of the Professional MBA program, which is designed for students attending school full-time while working full-time. She currently serves as President of her 21-member cohort. As a Dean’s Fellow, she will be a representative of the entire on-campus MBA student body. During her term she will have a unique opportunity to assist in the school’s transition to a completely online MBA program.
“Given Alaina’s contributions to the CMT Team, we were confident her pursuit of the MBA would be a good thing for both her personally and the CMT team as a whole,” says Roger Austin, Sr. Vice President and Director of Marketing. “She is a good model of what our professional development program is all about.”
