CMT would like to welcome Mitchell Morgan, an aviation engineering technician in our Jacksonville, FL office.
Most recently, Mitchell worked as a civil engineering specialist at AECOM where he helped in designing airfield infrastructure including runway, taxiway, and apron pavements, safety areas, airfield grading, storm water systems, hangars, airfield marking, and airfield lighting. In his role, he was able to take projects from award, through the design phase to bid opening while working with the project manager. His proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and penchant for attention to detail led to additions in his responsibilities to include the training of new employees, ongoing regular technical instruction for the aviation design team, and improvements in group production standards and techniques.
Mitchell graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Geomatics from the University of Florida. Before transitioning to the field of aviation engineering, he worked as a Land Surveyor utilizing traditional surveying methods as well as LiDAR. He is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of North Florida.
