CMT’s interns are an essential part of our workforce. It is an honor to offer experiences that provide a solid foundation to the students of today who will soon be the leaders of tomorrow. Read on to learn about recent experiences in the CMT Internship Program.
My CMT internship has been great. I have learned much about water resources, GIS, and even how to fly a drone. I’ve also had the opportunity to go on a job site and see CMT’s design being built.
My experience at CMT has been wonderful. I have had the opportunity to work in the field almost every day. The field work fits me amazingly – I love learning the process of construction. CMT has been extremely welcoming and has made me feel like a valued member of the team.
I have spent a lot of time working in Civil 3D on sheet sets for clients. I have also been out with our surveying team on field trips, and I have learned many new skills that will help me in the future.
My internship this summer has been very helpful in furthering my knowledge in the field of engineering. I have been able to see the different aspects that go into the whole process of a complete design. I have also been able to spend several days on-site, which has enhanced my knowledge of the different tasks required to maintain a good working environment and keep the job and construction completion date on time. I have also been able to meet some great people inside of the firm across different disciplines.
My experience at CMT during the accounting internship has been incredibly rewarding. Working closely with the department, I have applied the knowledge I acquired in school to real-world scenarios. I have actively participated in tasks such as data analysis, financial reporting, and managing fixed assets, which has given me invaluable insights into the intricacies of a professional accounting setting.
