CMT would like to welcome Muaz O. Ahmed, Ph.D., a construction engineer in the water resources group in our Aurora, IL office.
Muaz brings with over 10 years of experience in construction management, project planning, and execution. He has performed project management, cost estimation, and quantity surveying for multi-million-dollar construction and infrastructure projects for international construction and engineering firms. Before joining CMT, Muaz held several roles, including senior proposal engineer, senior bridge engineer, project engineer, and structural site engineer, primarily within the Middle East region. Also, he worked as a research and teaching assistant for multiple construction management-related courses and research projects at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Muaz earned his Ph.D. in civil engineering with an emphasis in construction engineering and management from Missouri University of Science and Technology. He also earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Cairo University (Egypt).
