Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT) has named eight new associates.

Lindsey Anderson Controller

With over a decade of progressively responsible accounting experience, Lindsey Anderson has demonstrated her value as a dynamic leader, capable of delivering both strategic change and operational excellence. Since joining CMT in 2021, Lindsey has consistently demonstrated a high level of integrity, responsibility, and leadership. Lindsey’s self-motivation and dedication to CMT’s mission are evident in her proactive approach to solving complex challenges and advancing important initiatives. What’s more, her focus on the future as well as her innovative thinking align seamlessly with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence. She holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA with an accounting focus from the University of Illinois Springfield.

Heather Gipp, PE, ENV SP
Project Manager

Heather Gipp, PE, ENV SP, embodies CMT’s values of integrity, high moral character, and highly responsive client service. Heather joined CMT in January 2016 in the Peoria, IL, office, where she worked on various municipal projects. In 2019, she relocated to St. Louis, MO, and joined the Water Resources Group. Over the years, she has served in numerous internal leadership roles at CMT, demonstrating her commitment to fostering innovation, mentorship, and collaboration. Heather’s leadership qualities are also evident through her involvement in professional organizations like the Missouri Section of the American Water Works Association (MOAWWA) and the Missouri Water Environment Association (MWEA). Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Illinois.

Eric Hills, PE, CM Aviation Group Manager

Eric Hills, PE, CM, is known for his quiet yet “can-do” attitude, making him a desired resource for project leadership by both clients and staff alike. Since joining CMT in 2014, Eric has held many roles, including design engineer, construction engineer, project engineer, resident engineer, project manager, and client manager; currently, he serves as the group manager of CMT’s Aviation Group in Springfield, IL. Over the years, Eric has become a trusted mentor to multiple younger engineers and has also assumed a variety of internal leadership roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bradley University.

Angie Koester
Human Resources Manager

Angie Koester’s exceptional communication skills, conflict-resolution abilities, and talent for developing others make her a trusted partner for colleagues across the organization. Her contributions – particularly in talent acquisition, employee relations, and other areas of human resources – have been pivotal to CMT’s success. With 14 years of HR experience, she has established herself as an expert in the field, perhaps best illustrated by her leadership in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) HR Forum. Beyond her professional achievements, Angie is also engaged in various community initiatives across Central Illinois. Angie holds a bachelor’s degree in sales management from Purdue University.

Andy Mueller, PE, DBIA Surface Transportation Group Manager

Andy Mueller, PE, DBIA, is known as a respected veteran leader who empowers his team to perform at its best. Andy joined CMT as a project engineer in January 2020 and became group manager of CMT’s Southwest Missouri Surface Transportation Group in January 2022. In this role, he has led and supported the team through significant growth. Before joining the firm, Andy was with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) for over 29 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Mike Sewell, PE, LEED AP
Project Manager

Mike Sewell, PE, LEED AP, is known for his exceptional relationship-building skills with colleagues, teaming partners, clients, and the communities he serves. Mike joined CMT in 2019 in the Springfield, IL, office, where he was a member of the Aviation team. Over the years, he also led and contributed to an array of Building and Site Services projects, playing key roles in the success of those efforts. Most recently, Mike led the opening of CMT’s new Bloomington office, showcasing his influence in supporting the company’s growth. Mike holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Allen Smith, PE, SE
Senior Structural Project Manager

Allen Smith, PE, SE, is a dedicated and highly experienced engineer with nearly 33 years of expertise in bridge design, inspection, and construction. For almost five years, he has been a senior project engineer in CMT’s Surface Transportation Group in St. Louis, MO. His career includes nine years with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and qualifications as a National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS)-qualified team leader for routine and fracture-critical bridge inspections. Allen holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Marion Wells
Senior Environmental Scientist

Marion Wells exemplifies the values of CMT: integrity, project excellence, client relationships, teamwork, fairness, individual opportunity, and sustainability. Marion is a certified senior ecologist through the Ecological Society of America and has her federal permit for handling endangered freshwater mussels. Lending her technical expertise in field ecology as well as her leadership skills, she mentors field teams and leads the scheduling of the various field efforts that are needed for projects. Her contributions to CMT extend beyond her functional area through her service to various internal groups including the Recognition Committee and the Young Professionals Planning Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology and environmental science and a master’s degree in environmental science from Miami University.
