On-Call Environmental Compliance Services – Noise & Air Quality
Since the mid-1990s, CMT’s environmental team (former KB Environmental Sciences staff) has been the on-call noise and air emissions resource at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL), the world’s busiest airport. Over the years, assignments have included noise and air quality assessments of airport improvement projects, operational and construction-related emission inventories, and emission reduction evaluations. Our team has also been involved in preparing an ATL (FAR) Part 150 Noise Study, as well as updating ATL’s Noise Exposure Maps and aircraft noise contours using the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) Integrated Noise Model (INM) and the airport’s Flight Tracking System (FTS).
CMT staff have also prepared studies for the expansion of Concourse E, the Consolidated Rent-A-Car (CONRAC) facility, the preparation of the South Complex site, and the written reevaluation for the Runway 10-28 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). We have served as a representative of the Department of Aviation (DOA) in communications with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division for the preparation and submittal of airport-related air pollutant emission inventories (historical, current, and future) for inclusion in the State Implementation Plan.
