For over 40 years, Carrol has been at the forefront of improving noise and air quality related to transportation infrastructure. Her expertise in environmental evaluation, analysis, and mitigation has been called upon by airports and agencies both across the country and around the world. After partnering together on projects for many years, Carrol and her team of professionals joined CMT, bringing their unique skills and unparalleled experience to further strengthen and enhance the environmental services we offer to our clients.

Carrol is a leading expert in preparing the air quality elements of environmental assessments, including air emissions inventories and atmospheric dispersion modeling, air quality monitoring, emission factor development, air quality mitigation plans, and agency and public coordination. At O’Hare International Airport, she led the first hazardous air pollutant assessment for an FAA-approved Environmental Impact Statement. She was also the initial author of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) guidance for assessing air quality impacts associated with transportation improvement projects and is a long-standing member of the FDOT Noise Task Team.

Clients continually turn to Carrol for industry-leading expertise in noise monitoring, modeling, reduction, and mitigation. For over 25 years, she has served as the on-call project manager for air quality and noise-related tasks at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Carrol is proficient in leveraging the benefits of FAA’s Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT) for airport-related assessments and FHWA’s Traffic Noise Model (TNM) for highway traffic noise and noise barrier assessments.

While Carrol is forward-thinking on the job, she’s nostalgic when it comes to her hobby – collecting classic cars.
