Scott Knight, PE

Principal Air Service Development

Nicholas brings to airports an extensive background in air service development. This includes most recently serving as Director of Network Planning at Alaska Air Group. Prior to joining Alaska in 2015, Nicholas spent eight years at Southwest Airlines where he held multiple leadership roles in Network and Schedule Planning.

Over his 16 years of commercial airline experience, Nicholas has been responsible for launching hundreds of new routes and new flights at different airports. He knows the ingredients needed to make a flight successful and is able to share that experience with our airport clients to enhance their air service.

“I have a deep understanding about the economics of the airline industry and I work hard to make sure that my clients get the absolute best service from me,” says Nicholas. “I am persistent, competitive, and energized by helping my clients get increased service and the economic impact to the community that results.”

In 2014 Nicholas was honored as one of the “40 Under Forty” rising stars in aerospace and defense by Aviation Week & Space Technology. He has a BS in Aviation Administration from Purdue University and an MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
