Senior Manager, Aviation Research & Economics
Russ Mills offers highly specialized capabilities to assist communities and airports in attracting and expanding air service, conducting economic and demographic data analysis, and providing economic impact analysis. He also helps communities that are seeking federal funding for economic development projects and planning initiatives.
“I think my clients would say that I’m passionately dedicated to their success,” Russ says. “The greatest satisfaction for me is using my ability to take complex information, whether it be proving the market for a new airline route or quantifying the economic impact of a general aviation airport, and translating it into tools that can be used by clients to make decisions.”
In addition to consulting, Russ has worked as an Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) policy analyst, and spent eight years at Bowling Green State University, where he advanced to the position of Director of the Center for Regional Development. He maintains his relationship with the university through CMT, overseeing various aviation-focused initiatives, including work with the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP).
Outside of work, Russ enjoys traveling with his family and sharing his love of hockey and golf with his son. He also gives back to his community and profession by volunteering with several organizations, including the Ohio Aviation Association and the United Way.
