Crawford, Murphy & Tilly’s (CMT) Ambra Knox, CM was recently named to the Springfield Business Journal’s list of 40 Under Forty. The Springfield, IL-based publication annually recognizes young professionals in Springfield and the surrounding area based on their leadership and accomplishments, both in their chosen fields, and in their communities. Ms. Knox is in the Planning Group in the Springfield, IL office where she serves as a project manager for land and easement acquisition and environmental and aviation planning projects.
“Ms. Knox is an integral member of the planning group’s senior leadership team and is responsible for a number of initiatives at CMT,” said Doug Gregory, Aviation Planning Group Manger and Ms. Knox’s supervisor. He continued, “In addition to her project responsibilities, Ambra takes great pride in mentoring junior staff whether it be on land acquisition, environmental work, or aviation planning. Outside of work, I know Ambra is passionate about being a Cub Scout leader and giving back to her community. I’m very thankful having Ambra as part of the senior leadership team and am excited to watch her continue to grow both within her professional and her community.”
In addition to her expertise in environmental science and aviation planning, Ms. Knox has become a specialist in federally guided land acquisition. In 2006, Ms. Knox began building the service for CMT’s Aviation Unit. In her role she deals directly with land owners, helping them understand the federal process and ultimately helping to negotiate acquisitions. In recent years, she has been instrumental in expanding this service to other business units across the firm. As a result of her hard work and dedication, Ms. Knox was invited to become an associate of CMT in 2014.
Ms. Knox is a certified member (CM) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) as well as the International Right of Way Association (IRWA). She is dedicated to assisting airport sponsors, of all sizes, with projects and development programs from their inception to completion. In addition, she is an approved negotiator for the Illinois and Missouri Departments of Transportation. As acquiring land from property owners can be very sensitive, Ms. Knox approaches the process with transparency, integrity and understanding.
In addition to her career, Ms. Knox enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, working in her flower gardens, and volunteering as a Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 320 in New Berlin, IL. She continues to teach and advance her den forward. Ms. Knox also serves as the Packs Treasurer and organizes the annual popcorn sale, which is the Packs only fundraiser. Congratulations to Ambra Knox on this terrific accomplishment.
